ROLE

The Senior Director of ESG, Social Impact is responsible for leading [COMPANY’s] social impact strategy and execution. In this role, the Senior Director works with stakeholders across [COMPANY] to identify and implement opportunities to leverage [COMPANY’s] platform and resources to make a positive impact on the world. The Senior Director will also be responsible for developing and managing partnerships with nonprofits and other organizations, and for engaging [COMPANY] employees in social impact efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Together with the Senior Manager of ESG, the Senior Director of ESG, Social Impact will ensure that [COMPANY] implements a cohesive social impact program that [SOCIAL IMPACT VISION STATEMENT], while creating value for [COMPANY’s] employees, customers and partners. 


The Senior Director will: 

  • Lead  [COMPANY’s] social impact strategy, including setting goals, identifying priorities, and developing and implementing programs and initiatives.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain partnerships with nonprofits and other organizations that align with  [COMPANY’s] social impact goals.
  • Manage the design and implementation of social impact programs and initiatives, including working with stakeholders across [COMPANY] to ensure alignment with [COMPANY’s] overall strategy and goals.
  • Liaise with the People team and ERGs to engage [COMPANY] employees in social impact efforts
  • Measure and report on the impact of [COMPANY’s] social impact programs and initiatives.
  • Regularly engage the executive team to brief and receive feedback on social impact programs, initiatives, and progress
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Senior Director of ESG Strategy and Initiatives, the Communications team, and Marketing leadership to communicate about social impact programs and initiatives. 
  • Thoughtfully advocate for social impact priorities within [COMPANY], including working with other functions to raise awareness of social impact issues and opportunities.
  • Represent [COMPANY] at external social impact events and conferences, and contribute to the development of [COMPANY’s] social impact thought leadership 
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and maintain the annual ESG budget, tracking spending and making adjustments as needed
