We are a values based business with a focus on the triple bottom line - people, planet, and profit. We work with healthcare providers, fundraisers, and educators, many of whom are registered nonprofits. This focus allows us to attract individuals whose personal ambitions include contributing to social good with sustainable solutions in addition to monetary rewards. We see our role in helping organisations succeed in their mission by delivering innovative solutions that add economic and social value in sustainable ways.
This goal of creating social benefit is also part of our formal company culture, the “DataColada DNA”, and is represented by our participation in Pledge 1%. DataColada has pledged to give 1% of our equity, time, profit, and product back to the community. We significantly over-deliver against these goals and for the financial year ending 30 June 2022, we achieved pledge 6%. We are actively working towards a goal of pledging 10%.
As the latest example of our commitment, last month the team spent the day at the Good360 Warehouse. Good360 is an international nonprofit organisation that tackles two major problems communities around the world face daily: un-used goods in landfills, and people in need of resources beyond just food. Whilst there are many great organisations tackling food insecurity issues, Good360 aims to handle everything else. The organisation works with local suppliers and chain stores to receive overstock of brand new non-perishable goods to be routed to any charity in need of those donations.
In the warehouse, we packaged and sorted brand-new children’s clothing, toys, and toiletries to be arranged for delivery to numerous charities in need of spare goods. All in all, the team sent off 276 boxes for local communities!
It’s our absolute joy and honour to partake in these continuous efforts for good, and to partner up with such incredible charities such as Good360.
