For the last 5 years, Dropbox has created dedicated space and time to ensure employees have the opportunity to #GiveBack to their communities, and foster relationships within Dropbox through our global days of service, Impact Days. Twice a year, these designated days of service span across Dropbox neighborhoods around the world with one goal in mind; do good. Behind this collaborative initiative are Dropbox employees from Dropbox for Good, our employee resource groups (ERGs), and the Dropbox Foundation.
Impact Day includes various giving, learning, and volunteering opportunities. As a Virtual First company, we work closely with “Community Builders” in our neighborhoods and ERG leads to ensure we are reaching employees of diverse locations, backgrounds and interests to gather in person. April’s Impact Day included events that honored heritage months for BlackDropboxers, Women@, Asians@, and Pridebox while our Impact Day in November included opportunities honoring Latinx, Vets@ and enABLE ERGs. Celebrating all of the communities that help make Dropbox such a wonderful place to work is core to Dropbox’s value “Make Work Human.”
Since January 2023, Dropbox employees volunteered more than 3,390 hours and donated over $884K+ to 1000 nonprofit partners. 43% of our volunteer hours were recorded as part of Impact Day, which is a testament to the success of Dropbox for Good leads, a group of employees dedicated to organizing and recruiting volunteers for Impact Day events. Impact Day would not be possible without their immense time, care and coordination.
2023 Impact Day events included the following partners:
Mutville in San Francisco
Treehouse in Seattle
Operation Gratitude (Virtual)
We also celebrated Earth Month in April by supporting Dropbox’s sustainability efforts with the following partners:
We believe Dropbox has a responsibility to make the world a better place, both inside and outside our company. Impact Day and our wider Dropbox for Good programming reflects this belief and our ongoing commitment to do good.
