In this Community Spotlight, we are thrilled to spotlight @Kali N, one of the incredible individuals within our community of social impact leaders. Kali Norman is a Social Impact Specialist at the Atlassian Foundation and has been a part of this community since May 2023.
Can you share one of the most impactful social initiatives or projects you've spearheaded or contributed to in your career?
I am currently supporting emerging tech leaders in embracing giving and philanthropy in their early-stage companies across APAC. This project is a great opportunity to support the Pledge 1% movement, bring awareness to the role that Philanthropy plays in effecting meaningful, long-term change, and supporting our local community.
What advice do you have for aspiring leaders looking to navigate and advance their careers in this dynamic and meaningful field?
Never stop learning - about your craft from others in the field and from the organisations you support. The space is changing and growing, and there is always something to learn.
What’s a fun fact that people probably don’t know about you?
I am a qualified Jewellery Designer

Room to Read. The Atlassian Foundation has been long-term partners with Room to Read, and the team there is really passionate, engaging, and knowledgeable.
Is there anything else you want to highlight or share with the community?
We've got a whole suite of programs and activities planned in APAC for 2024 - we'd love to connect with anyone looking to participate in some of our efforts, from webinars and networking events to conference visits and coordinated fundraising days. Also, anyone looking to set up a Foundation. We're very happy to share our experiences with the wider ecosystem.
