One of the core ways to get employees to sign up and show up for virtual volunteering activities is to identify rallying agents, such as individual teams within your company or employee resource groups. At Rock Content, our pro-tip is to take this a step further. Once you identify your teams, appeal to their competitive spirit and gamify virtual volunteering opportunities, promoting healthy competition within the volunteering activity! Ideas include:
create a way to rank/give points related to the volunteer activity
define awards for the winning team
include the whole team collaboration as a way to earn points
Additionally, show your team their effort, and the impact they made through their virtual volunteering opportunity!
Our other pro-tip: Take advantage of the resources available within this community! There are many more insights to be found in the Virtual Volunteering Playbook!
