Erdene Elbegdorj is the chief international officer at TomYo EdTech directing international expansion and operations. He is a former public servant and a policymaker in Mongolia, having served as a member of the Citizens’ Representative Parliament of Bayanzurkh District in Ulaanbaatar. He also previously served as a United Nations peacekeeper in South Sudan. Erdene sees education as the cross-cutting enabler to addressing many of the social challenges faced around the globe both impactfully and sustainably. He joined TomYo EdTech to make learning more accessible for all no matter their background and socioeconomic status. He was the first Mongolian to graduate from the University of Oxford Blavatnik School of Government with a master’s degree in Public Policy and holds a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University. Erdene encourages great quality of education and youth participation in the civil society sector through his leadership roles in the Global Shapers Community of Ulaanbaatar and the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge Alumni Network of Mongolia.
