Ellen Rossi serves as President of the EQT Foundation, the philanthropic division of EQT Corporation, a natural gas company headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. With Ellen’s oversight, the EQT Foundation awards more than $3M a year to organizations throughout Appalachia whose missions are primarily focused on community enrichment, education & workforce, and the environment. Ellen frequently collaborates with the nonprofit community and schools to help guide and develop strategic partnerships for funding that enable communities to prosper and open pathways for our future workforce. In addition to overseeing the EQT Foundation, Ellen manages all community investment programs at EQT Corporation, including employee engagement opportunities.
Prior to joining EQT in November 2009, Ellen served as the Vice President of Communication Services at the Allegheny Conference on Community Development. In her role, she oversaw the coordination of regional events such as the 250th Commemoration of the French & Indian War, Pittsburgh 250, the G-20 Summit, as well as overall implementation of numerous membership and community initiatives. Ellen began her career as an Events Coordinator at the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership where she helped with the planning of several events including Light Up Night. Serving in those roles, Ellen developed an appreciation for the challenges and passion nonprofit organizations experience to fulfill their missions.
A lifelong Pittsburgher, Ellen is a graduate of Duquesne University and currently serves on the boards of the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce and Grantmakers of Western Pennsylvania. She is also a member of the Community Involvement Roundtable through the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her husband Jeff and three children.
