Thanks Michelle! Hi everyone! π I'm Lauren. I technically don't live in the Bay Area - but my local teammate left the org and I want to make sure I stay connected since New Relic is headquartered in SF.
π’ I work mostly remote, but go to the Portland office occasionally (like today!) and sometimes make it to our SF office.
πΌ I lead Social Impact - day to day that is driving our social impact strategy with a focus on employee giving, volunteering, and community partnerships.
π° Yes! Time + Product.
π Before moving to PDX I volunteered with a local refugee nonprofit that I loved.
π£ Atlassian! Crushing it, always.

Thank you, @lkeeler! I love Portland. I lived there for 12 years and it is such a fun place to be. Enjoy your time there and we are happy to have you in the group! π

Hi everyone! I'm Kevin Bai and I work at Cruise. I'm actually fully remote (based in LA) but our HQ is in SF.
π’ I work fully remote.
πΌ Social Impact Specialist - I manage our programs and partnerships with nonprofits related to our social impact function.
π° Yes, Cruise is a proud member of Pledge 1%.
π Transportation access is always a huge factor when it comes to how equitable our communities are and is an area that I've thought about and worked in for a majority of my career now!
π£ Ben & Jerry's: Their commitment to their values despite external pressure has always been admirable.

Greetings All. I am David and I work for GoodMvmt. I consider myself to be part of the Bay Area but actually live a few hours south (half way between LA and SF in Paso Robles). I do frequent the Bay Area and raised my daughters there. Hope I still qualify π
π’ Work location: We are fully remote workforce, while we are headquartered in Mill Valley. We work remote.
πΌMy work: I am the CEO of the company leading GTM and strategy.
π°Pledge 1% commitment: Yes, proudly we have met the equity pledge. Honored to do so.
πPersonal cause: Two fold: supporting local. I live in a rural community and there are so many ways my community needs help. Second: scale philanthropy. What are the philanthropy investments we can make to achieve self sufficiency and amplify impact.
π£Programs that move me: Ben & Jerry's (as others have said) for the pure commitment to their beliefs. Also the amazing work other large corporates are doing (ala Cisco, Pinterest). Only because I have been close to their programs and have seen from close up the work they do and the culture they drive.

Welcome, @kevinbai32 and @davidgrubman! I'm so glad you both joined the group. @davidgrubman, do you have any recommended resources or thought leaders to follow to learn more about scaling philanthropy? I would love to explore this topic more. Thank you!
@jennabigham, @erecobs and @kathygu - I thought you would appreciate the Pinterest mention! β€οΈ
