This year, we're taking it up a notch with more ambition, more initiatives, more prizes, and more positive social impact that will leave a lasting mark! With over 3,000 participants in the last edition, o9 Walks is a global step challenge happening throughout May.
For every 50,000 steps you take, we'll plant a tree, contributing to a greener planet! Can we surpass the staggering 11,500 trees planted last year? Let the challenge begin!

This year, we're dedicating the challenge to water! Did you know that by 2025, it's estimated that half of the world's population will be living in water-stressed areas? It's time to act!
The 2024 o9 Walks trees will be planted in partnership with Sowing Waters, a project that aims to reverse the degradation of water bodies in Brazil through the restoration of forests and the promotion of conservation practices.
Moreover, for o9 Walks 2024, o9 has partnered with the nonprofit WaterAid to improve access to clean water, safe sanitation, and good hygiene for the poorest and most marginalized communities in India. How? As we collectively hit distance Milestones o9 will unlock funds to support the following WaterAid projects:
- 50 Miles = Handwashing station in a rural school
- 100 Miles = Training to women on water quality testing along with a water quality testing kit
- 200 Miles = Development of soak pit for water conservation
- 300 Miles = Development of Rainwater harvesting unit
