Thanks to the amazing crowd who turned out for the Pledge 1% Sydney meetup as part of Spark Festival!
Despite the sudden cold snap, an enthusiastic group of Pledge 1% Members and the ‘Pledge-curious’ came along to meet with like-minded people, make new connections and talk all things corporate social impact.
The meetup was the first event delivered by the new Australian Pledge 1% team of Antonia Ruffell (Managing Director, Australia), Alice Young (Member Engagement, Australia), Gisela Wildie (EA & Events Manager, Australia) and Catherine Feeney (Marketing & Communications, Australia).
“I loved meeting so many Members for the first time, many of whom have been part of the movement for several years. The vibrant Australian Pledge 1% community is clearly eager for more opportunities to lean into everything the movement has to offer and to learn from and with each other to create more positive social impact,” said Antonia.
And proving there’s no such thing as free charcuterie, kudos to guest Mick Liubinskas from Climate Salad who took Antonia’s Pledge 1% challenge to the next level. By Spark Festival 2026, Mick has pledged to have 100 Climate Salad members as Pledge 1% members. Thank you, Mick!
Our thanks too to Canva for generously donating their event space and providing the delicious catering, and to Spark Festival for amplifying our event to the local startup community as part of their programming.
We hope to see you at the next one!
