Small Acts, Big Hearts

How the Dreamers Team Made Easter Sweeter for Children in Recife

At Dreamers, we believe that even the smallest act, when done with heart, can spark meaningful transformation. This Easter, we turned that belief into action through a special initiative grounded in purpose, empathy, and collaboration—supported by the Pledge 1% movement.

The idea came from a simple and genuine place. Our teammate Gizele gathered the team and suggested organizing an Easter campaign for children living in foster care in Recife, Brazil. She asked if anyone could help identify an organization truly in need. That’s when Joice, another teammate, lovingly recalled the social projects she used to do with her mother and suggested a few organizations her family still supports with food and clothing donations.

After careful research, we chose Lar Paulo de Tarso, a local foster home that lovingly cares for 13 children.

Our mission? Simple, yet deeply meaningful: to ensure that each child could enjoy a sweet, dignified, and equal Easter.

Each Dreamers team member was invited to sponsor a child by gifting them the classic red Nestlé chocolate box—a beloved Easter tradition in Brazil. We wanted every child to receive the same gift, creating a moment of pure joy, free from inequality.

Within just a few hours of launching our volunteer sign-up form, all 13 children had been sponsored. 💛

The result? Hearts full of joy… and 13 unforgettable smiles.

More than just chocolates, we delivered love, warmth, and a powerful message:
Equity matters—even in the smallest gestures.

This was our way of living the Pledge 1%: with empathy, action, and love for others. A simple act that brought our team closer together and, more importantly, brought hope to those who need it most.
